WORK REQUIRES AUTHORITY

Authority originates either from God or from another human being. It is the power to do things in behalf of the another whom you represent. You are blessed to be given such authority by the Lord Himself who made you an entrepreneur. In all your work and actions, you are not accountable to any person but only to God.

Authority is the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. Aside from power, it is also synonymous to jurisdiction, command, control, charge, dominance, rule, sovereignty, or supremacy.

In doing the Father's works, our Lord Jesus Christ was questioned by the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders who approached him and said to him, “By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do them?” (Mk 11:27-28)

The question may sound legitimate but their motive is full of ill intent. Jesus knows this and as such, the Lord's wisdom in playing with their minds made them face a blank wall.

Jesus was given the authority to rule over the Father's works as written in Psalm 8:7, "You have given him rule over the works of your hands, putting all things under his feet".

Let the wisdom of Christ dwell in you richly; giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Lord, my authority to do things only comes from you who is my true master. You were the one who established the business and work that I do today, and went beyond expanding the boundaries of my territories. Thank you so much for all the good things you have done!

Please continue to enrich us in every way as we hold on to your word each day. Word that gives life and meaning to the purpose of our existence in the world. Into your hands, I humbly submit and surrender all my dreams, wishes, goals and aspirations.

With much love, gratitude and thanksgiving, I pray in Jesus Name. Amen.
